Abstract
The article offers information about the Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM-IV) in Trinidad and Tobago. It states that DSM-IV offers clear descriptions of diagnostic categories to enable clinicians and other investigators to diagnose, communicate and study and treat various mental disorders. It mentions that the manual was created in line with psychiatric diagnosis being self correcting and in a constant process of evolution and the classification of mental disorders.
