Abstract
The article offers information on the study on the relationship of apolipoprotein AI metabolism with adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-binding cassette transporter-A1 (ABCA1) polymorphism in Iranian population. Methods include the Tehran Lipid and Glucose Study (TLGS), the obtainment of biochemical factors, and the extraction of DNA for ABCA1 polyphormism's analysis. Results show that there is no relation between lipid related variables except for apolipoprotein AI and ABCA1 gene polymorphism.
