Abstract
Describes the elective use of the laryngeal mask airway in children undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass for repair of an atrial septal defect. Oxygenation and ventilation of children throughout the procedure using positive pressure ventilation and spontaneous ventilation; Benefit of using caudal fentanyl and rectal diclofenac in postoperative pain management; Advantage of atrial septal defect repair.
