Abstract
The article examines how Zenobia Jacobs and Richard Roberts, two dating experts at the University of Wollongong in Australia who are married to one another, helped University of Pennsylvania archaeologist Harold Dibble discover when a prehistoric cave had been inhabited by prehistoric humans. The technique employed by Jacobs and Roberts is optically stimulated luminescence dating, which is alleged to be more involved and exact than radiocarbon dating. The professional histories of both individuals are provided, and the author examines other projects they are involved in, including a study of human migrations from Africa into southern Asia.
