Abstract
The article reports that the discovery of ancient stone tools by archaeologists digging at the Debra L. Friedkin site in central Texas confirms pre-Clovis settlement of North America. Topics include controversy regarding pre-Clovis settlements in North America, the excavators' use of optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) to date the artifacts, and the results of a use-wear study investigation how the tools were used.
