Abstract
The article presents tips for identifying and overcoming students' misconceptions about the world in which humans live. It describes how people's misundertandings can occur. It discusses the historic missteps that may contibute and presents the strategies teachers can use to help students move toward conceptual change including calling for clarification and evidence.
