Abstract
The kinetics of martensitic transformation of roll steels with induction heating by a current of industrial frequency are studied. It is shown that martensitic transformation proceeds autocatalytically. The time dependence of the amount of martensite with decomposition of supercooled austenite is established. Critical nuclei dimensions during phase transformation are determined. Martensite crystal growth may be described by a quasidiffusion equation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
