Abstract
Examines the role of parents and healthcare personnel in caring for premature infants. Achievement of the proper balance between the risks of remaining at the neonatal unit with a prolonged separation from the parents and the risk of being far from immediate intervention; Need to provide parents with the knowledge and tools necessary to overcome the routine problems that arise in premature births.
