Abstract
A study evaluated the effectiveness of a positive behavior support (PBS) intervention designed to improve hallway behavior at a rural elementary school. The intervention was carried out at a neighborhood elementary school in a small town in southeastern Ohio. Results revealed a substantial improvement in hallway behavior across all grade levels as a result of the PBS intervention. This study demonstrates that the use of PBS can be applied in all schools, even those with limited resources, through the implementation of appropriate interventions and consistent reinforcement of established rules and expectations.
