Abstract
The article presents a study that deals with an analysis evaluated from compositional data on genetically modified (GM) corn and GM soybean varieties grown in different geographies and growing seasons. The study aims to assess the relative impact of transgene insertion on compositional variation in comparison with the effect of environmental factors and to review the implications of these results on the safety assessment process. Included in the analysis are wheat, potato, soybean, rice, tomato, tobacco, Arabidopsis and Gerbera.
