Abstract
The article provides information on the impact of the appreciation of the Chinese currency on the global economy. It states that American Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has postponed the announcement regarding the appreciation of the renminbi. It adds that Geither has worded his statement carefully to avoid embarrassing Chinese president Hu Jintao.
