The article presents the fighting battles undergone by American soldiers in the past particularly the Battle of Peleliu and offers the author's view concerning the battle. It notes that Peleliu is an island part of the Palau group of the Caroline Islands in the southwest Pacific. A brief history of the battle between American and Japanese soldiers is provided. The author expresses that the Battle of Peleliu was among the unnecessary battle of the U.S. that costs American lives dearly.
