Abstract
The author discusses an article by Igor Rudan and colleagues that appeared within the issue regarding unexplored Chinese scientific publications and health statistics in China. He commends the article's authors for showing the cause-specific child mortality estimates, trends and differentials. However, he cites the limitations in the approach and analysis used by the article's authors.
