Abstract
The article presents an examination of a reconstructed stature of a pre-historic man excavated from the Bellan-bandi Palassa site in Sri Lanka. The estimated stature that is derived is compared with other historic statures, the statures of the Vadda people and the statures of people who presently populate the region. The article discusses how human stature can be estimated from long bones or bone fragments. For the estimation presented in the article fragments from humeral, radial and tibial bones were used.
