Abstract
Presents research which studied results from Ocean Drilling Program Leg 169 at the Juan de Fuca spreading center. Role of hydrothermal circulation in transferring heat from the center of the Earth; Hydrothermal circulation and volcanic-associated massive sulphide deposits; Changes in style of feeder-zone mineralization; New type of mineralization found in results.
