Abstract
The article presents information on a series of charitable projects undertaken by "People" magazine in 2009, in cooperation with various non-profit groups, in order to celebrate the magazine's 35th anniversary. These include the rebuilding of an elementary school library, a vacation in Hawaii for a couple who volunteered with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America organization, and a fashion makeover for a working mother.
