Reports on the pollination of the cycad Macrozamia macdonnelli by the host-specific thrip Cycadothrips albrechti in Australia. Breeding of insects in male cones only; Average number of pollen grains carried by each thrip; Estimate number of pollen delivered into the cone; Possibility of thrips involvement in pollen transfer before the radiation of flowering plants.
