Abstract
An encyclopedia entry for Jewish social reformer Jennie Davidson Levitt is presented. Levitt was born in Lithuania on November 18, 1889. In 1909, she received a degree from the Highland Park Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Arts from Drake University in 1913. She had been active in Jewish women's organizations serving as president of the Kansas City branch of the National Council of Jewish Women between 1931 and 1936. She became a board member of the League of Women Voters and of the District Federation of Women's Clubs in Kansas City.
