Abstract
Focuses on the perceived underuse of palliative and hospice care services by African-Americans. Research conducted by African American scholars and professionals in order to improve end-of-life care for terminally ill patients; Social factors which limit access to such care; Opinion that further research and health care reforms are needed to improve end-of-life treatment among African Americans.
