Abstract
The article reports on the results of a study of the distribution of Symbiobacterium thermophilum and related bacteria in the marine environment. A description of the experimental set-up and measurement methods is presented. The study showed that one gene-based phylogeny belongs to Symbiobacterium thermophilum and the other is affiliated with a different species.
