Abstract
The article presents the changes that occurs in Jerusalem after the occupation of Arab Jews. After the occupation and unilateral annexation of Arab East Jerusalem in June 1967, there are several transformations the occur which are attributed to both Israeli occupation and natural development. It revealed that the Palestines have been subjected to Israel's systematic policies of discrimination wherein it weakened Palestinian identity and downgraded Jerusalem from a resource city for the whole West Bank to a city in need of developmental aid at institutional level and humanitarian aid. Such changes weakened the Palestinian infrastructure and replaced the Palestinian economy with the Israeli economy thus reducing the role of the institution to provide basic services.
