Abstract
The article focuses on the life and works of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton. She was born to a prominent family in New York, her father was a doctor and her mother's father was an Anglican priest. She had a good marriage to William Magee Seton and led a very happy life but he died from tuberculosis. Widowed at the age of 29, Elizabeth discovered solace in the motherhood of Mary and in the Real Presence in the Eucharist.
