Abstract
Chapter 7 of the book "Key Policy Issues in Long-Term Care" is presented. It explores the performance of long-term care (LTC) systems in meeting its goal, which is to ensure that an individual who is not fully capable of LTC can maintain the best possible quality of life. It argues that in order to insolate the contribution of LTC, it is necessary to identify the specific other set of health and responsiveness outcomes that can be considered to receive LTC.
