Abstract
This article reports on postpartum pulmonary arterial hypertension. It discusses the case of a 38-year-old woman who presented to the emergency department complaining of dyspnea six days after giving birth to her first child via cesarean section. Maternal mortality may exceed 50 percent when pulmonary arterial hypertension is untreated.
