Abstract
The article discusses the limitations of medical ultrasonography. These involve legal debates about technological screening and court actions for claims involving imperfection of technology. It is arrogated that it is important to educate pregnant women and their families about the realistic and reasonable aspects of such technology and on the clinical practice of midwives.
