Abstract
The article focuses on the comparisons on verbal operants between nonverbal operants between nonretarded-mother nonretarded-child pairs and nonretarded-mother retarded-child pairs. The earliest experiences of a child are in relationship with the parents specifically the mother who provides the most consistent speech pattern in the child's environment. The comparison between the two situations provide frequencies of verbal operants present at various levels of development.
