Abstract
The article reports on the presentation of the "Cuneiform Tablets: From the Reign of Gudea of Lagash to Shalmanassar III," from the African and Middle Eastern Division of the Library of Congress in the U.S. This presentation has been available on the library's Global Gateway Web site, that includes 38 items of mostly clay tablets. Accordingly, the oldest date from the reign of Gudea of Lagash has been dated in 2144-2124 B.C., while other tablets had appeared to belong to the Ur III period, early second century B.C., including some tablets inscribed with dates ranging from 2063 to 2031 B.C., wherein these tablets had contained the earliest examples of writing held in the Library of Congress.
