The article presents information on LibraryU, an Internet based continuing education program. In order to obtain free, quality courses all the time, many regional library systems in Illinois proposed development of this program. In the beginning, the program provided a place where librarians, trustees and board members could learn about library issues and core services. The program also helped library users to learn about information retrieval on the Internet and at their local libraries. Courses available in the program included 10 for the public and another 10 for librarians.
