Abstract
This article looks at Brad Pitt's plans to adopt the children of Angelina Jolie. Pitt announced that he had filed a court petition to adopt Zahara and Maddox and have their last name changed to Jolie-Pitt. Pitt will have to comply with California's adoption procedure before the court makes a decision on his petition. Pitt comes from a large close-knit family and he has wanted to start his own for a long time. Jolie and Pitt appear determined to create their own nuclear family with more children to come.
