Abstract
The article focuses on the integral role of work in sustaining functioning societies, contributing to global GDP, and supporting the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, while also addressing the dual nature of employment in affecting health outcomes depending on job quality and working conditions. It provides a comprehensive overview and update of global estimates of occupational injuries.
