This article discusses an unprecedented outbreak of dengue fever in Taiwan following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions. The study found that the reduction in international travel during the pandemic resulted in a decline in reported dengue cases. However, after the relaxation of measures and the resumption of international transportation, there was a significant increase in imported and locally acquired dengue cases.
