Abstract
The article highlights a special exhibition at the Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures in Chicago, exploring scribal training in ancient Babylonia, focusing on literacy education's aims, methods and struggles. Drawing from excavated materials from a scribal school in Nippur, the exhibit reunites clay tablets and other objects, providing insights into the routines and hardships of scribes-in-training during the Old Babylonian period.
