Abstract
The article discusses the results of a study on the resurgence of Mycoplasma pneumoniae diseases after the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S. from 2018-2024. Topics mentioned include the percentage of Mycoplasma pneumoniae-related diagnosis among children and adolescents with pneumonia from pre- to post-pandemic, the effectiveness of macrolides as the first-line management of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infections, and the implications of resurgence of infections on public health practice.
