Abstract
This article discusses the long-term outcomes of a multidisciplinary approach to repairing defects in the tegmen tympani, which can result in cerebrospinal fluid leaks. The study includes the largest series to date of patients undergoing tegmen repair, with up to 12-year follow-up. The surgical repair involved a combined mastoidectomy and middle fossa craniotomy, along with the use of dural onlay and titanium mesh. The results showed that this approach was effective in repairing the tegmen defect, with only one patient experiencing a postoperative cerebrospinal fluid leak. [Extracted from the article]
