Abstract
This Special Issue on "Identifying and Supporting Giftedness and Talent in Schools" features 19 articles from various international contexts, including Australia, Austria, Finland, France, Greece, Norway, Scotland, Sweden, Turkey, and the USA. The articles cover theoretical discussions and empirical research on identifying and supporting gifted learners and developing talent. The approaches to identification and support vary, including broad, multi-categorical, and curriculum-specific methods. The issue also addresses the needs and educational rights of gifted students, as well as under-representation in gifted education.
