Abstract
The article focuses on multi-omic profiling of the developing human cerebral cortex at the single-cell level. Topics include simultaneous profiling of gene expression and chromatin accessibility, identification of cell type-specific regulatory elements, and the impact of spatiotemporal alterations in gene expression on neuropsychiatric diseases such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and the study reveals dynamic changes in chromatin accessibility preceding transcription.
