Abstract
The article presents the discussion on kind of lore having an uneasy relationship with the scholarly fields. Topics include showing the English language with a scientific vocabulary derived predominantly from Latin and Greek; and scientific study of weather versus knowledge about the subject gathered through experience and passing down through tradition.
