Abstract
The article calls upon public health practitioners to employ an equity-focused care continuum framework for responding to COVID-19, monkeypox and future infectious disease outbreaks. It stresses the need to recognize the impact of stigma to address inequities in care continuum outcomes and reduce barriers to outbreak response. It discusses public health consequences of delays in testing, care and treatment and adequate vaccine coverage.
