Abstract
The article presents a study which analyzed ancient proteins from the dental calculus of all human individuals with sufficient calculation preservation from the interior plateau. Topics discussed include widespread evidence for dairy pastoralism in the non-arable highlands, lack of evidence for milk consumption in the arable regions, and ancient dairy consumption history on the Tibetan Plateau.
