Abstract
This paper performs the coupled thermoelastic analysis of a nanobeam with clamped–clamped and pined–pined boundary conditions using the Green–Naghdi theory with energy dissipation. The theory of nonlocal elasticity is used to understand the small-scale effect. Also, the impact of Casimir force is incorporated in the developed model. The finite element method is used to solve the non-dimensional coupled governing equations after they have been formed. The Newmark method is also used to investigate the problem's time response. Eventually, the effects of beam geometry, small-scale parameters, gap distance, and support type on the nanobeam's dynamic behavior are analyzed using numerical examples. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
