Abstract
The article reports on a study led by archaeologist Luise Ørsted Brandt of University of Copenhagen which revealed that prominent Vikings flaunted their affluence by wearing garments made from fur of exotic wild animals in an analysis of surviving furs from 10th-century A.D. burial in Denmark.
