Abstract
The article describes the case of a 72-year-old woman who presented with a 3-day history of worsening sore throat, odynophagia and reduced oral intake and was later diagnosed with having an odontogenic infection with an unusual clinical presentation of complicated peritonsillar abscess extending into the buccal space.
