Abstract
The authors comment on the proof-of-concept study by L. Meier and colleagues, published within the issue wherein they built an algorithm to aid technical decision making. Topics include the failure of the study authors to convincingly describe the problem that they are trying to solve, their failure to explain why an artificial intelligence (AI) driven system is the appropriate tool to aid ethical decision-making, and the approach of the project to problem-solving.
