Abstract
We here evaluate the impact of infectious diseases consultation (IDC) on the outcomes among patients with infections caused by Gram-negative rod (GNR) bacteria. Original research manuscripts or abstracts which assessed the effect of IDC on mortality in patients with GNR infections were included. Prospectively collected clinical information and patient characteristics in each study would help us to establish a greater degree of accuracy and the precise mechanisms how IDC might improve outcomes of patients with GNR infections.
