Abstract
In the article, the author discusses the reasons why Canada should boycott the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing, China to protest China's alleged abuses like the genocide against the Uighurs, the bullying of Taiwan, and the persecutions in Hong Kong. Also cited are the appeal by human rights advocates like Chemi Lhamo to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to appoint new host nation for the games, and the support by Canadian ambassador to China David Mulroney to the planned boycott.
