Abstract
The article examines the ancient practice of wellness. Topics discussed include the use of the site of natural hot springs called Aquae Sulis in Bath, England by Romans and local Britons to heal such ailments as rheumatism, arthritis and gout, appearance of yoga practices that intend to make the body stronger, fitter and leaner around 1,000 years ago, and role of temazcal or sweat lodge as family saunas among Maya people to cleanse the body.
