Abstract
The authors reflect on the challenges in operating a rheumatology-based ultrasound service (US) amidst the Covid-19 pandemic in the U.S. as the service cannot be performed remotely. Also cited are the authors' experiences in offering US, particularly their strategies like the use of appointment type consultation to minimize patient movement, limiting lengths of scanning time, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
