Abstract
The article discusses the history of the Holt Cemetery in New Orleans, Louisiana. Topics covered include the opening of this cemetery during the yellow fever epidemic of 1878, the lack of maintenance or government oversight in Holt, and a dramatic increase in the reuse of graves in Holt during the COVID-19 pandemic.
