The article presents a study that focuses on neutrophil-mediated carbamylation promotes articular damage in rheumatoid arthritis. It mentions that formation of autoantibodies to carbamylated proteins (anti-CarP) as considered detrimental in the prognosis of erosive rheumatoid arthritis, along with demonstrate that carbamylated proteins present in neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) enhance pathogenic immune responses and bone destruction.
