Abstract
The authors discuss updates on issues related to universal health coverage around the world (UHC) as of October 2020. Topics covered include the use of 16 tracer indicators in four categories by the World Health Organization and the World Bank to monitor progress towards UHC, a co-payment instituted by the government for services in 1952 as a cost-saving measure, and relegation of dental services to the sidelines of UHC in low- and middle-income countries.
